Chaeto grows at an exponential rate also- when it's growing.
It's already noticeably bigger than those photos a bit.

I trade it or give it away whenever I can

Well I did it. I read the entire thread, it took me a bit but I couldn't be pulled away. Todd, you have a fantastic looking tank. As I move forward on my system I will refer back to your thread often.

You've given me a lot of ideas on how I want to redo my sump.
Thank you for sharing all your steps along the way and all the great pictures!

I can't get my Chaeto to grow very well. Maybe i can dose some MiracleGro so mine will get that big.

    Thanks, that's quite a compliment!

Thanks. Still one of my favorite.

    Just a few updates,

A few days ago, while I was home during the day I noticed my primary/siphon line making noise and my secondary was taking water to the sump. This is not normal as it usually runs well and needs no adjustment.
I've already had 1 fish inadvertantly get caught in the siphon line at the valve- so I realized that is what probably happened again.
I quickly opened the gate valve (I use a sliding plate-like valve, not the screw kind) and let the rush of water through, then readjusted.
*I then went downstairs and just so happened to have a larger filter bag (like a sock, only bigger) on the end.
Sure enough, my Coral Beauty Dwarf Angel was swimming around in the bag. I thought wow, I am sure glad I was home when he got in there b/c he would have been caught on the valve until I noticed and it surely would have killed it.

I took him out and put him in the left/frag rack/RP side of my sump.
He looked really beat up and had a large sore on his head.
These are some photos I was able to get of him in the sump. YOu can barely see the sore on his head.

After about 1-2 days, the sore is almost healed and he's looking great. Now I gotta figure out how to get him netted so I can put him back in the diplay soon.
I have a eggcrate that attempts to keep fish from doing this, however it is easily pushed aside enough to slide past and it was in a position to look like that's whazt happened.
Soon I will wall the front edge off with egg crate so no more fish get in there.

I also rearranged some corals today, and every time I put my Rose MIlli colony that attched to a rock, on another rock near the area of my WBTA, my large Clarkii clown would knock the whole rock over.
I'd put it up, he'd knock it over. I'd put it up, he'd knock it over.... This went back and forth a dozen or so times.
    Then- he left it.
I think he know I"m about to leave for work, then he'll just knock it over again. She's done similar many times before.
As I look accross the room now, it's still where I put it.
But I expect to see it knock completely upside down when I get home tonight.

That's my latest update, thanks for reading. Overall, my DT/system is doing well, corals are getting really big and healthy.
I'll do one of my photo updates in the next few days/weeks.

    Todd

I have compartments that he likes and is now going to be hard to get him back!
I'll get him though. He/she's doing fine and the sore on the head is nearly healed.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
My clown used to do the same thing. I have a video of her picking up an Acropora colony, that I had just moved to a new location and throwing it off the rocks, over and over.

Nice recovery on the Angel, great fish.
