    I just did the "Todd Mod" on my wp25, although i took out every 3rd slat as opposed to every other. The flow appears much better. It seems as if over time i get a decrease in flow on the WP's even when the slats are not clogged. I am not sure if the slime coating on the magnets causes this or what the issue is. Any ideas?

    I think all pumps seem to do this, or it leaast it seems they do.
    Some also state it may be a slime coat on the impeller itself too.

    Your cruddy looks pretty good! I finally got an i phone 6 which seems to take much better pics so hopefully I ll be able to add a few things in the forum. Glad others have the same experience with the WPs as i do. I think it s the slime on the impeller magnet. Im ok with it, just something I have to keep on top of. Liking my modified Todd Mod so far!

    Thanks for the kinds words.

    More progress today:

    Finally put the fasteners I had bought long ago on the upper edge of the Maple Ply I'm using to cover my stand with.

    Now no more leaning the 6 rectsangular panels up against the stand, and hoping no one would bump one and send it falling. They're finally flush with the stand.

    Now when it warms up again, I'll sand and stain them.
    For now- it's Maple- all natural baby!
    Kinda like going Commando! Well, not exactly

    I think the light wood looks great the way it is....I might not stain it, I'd keep it the natural color - just my .02 - I do prefer lighter wood color
