I need to buy a new skimmer as well and will only be Reef Octopus brand. I ran one on my last two tanks and now have a Pro Clear Aquatics on my 300 that I am less than impressed with its performance (it came with the tank). I just wish these things were cheaper. My budget does not fit with dropping almost $600 on a skimmer, but it is a necessity. Tank looks great Todd. I feel you on the iPhone pics. I have the 6 and it's no better.

I read they discontinued that pump, something like an OTC 3000.
You probably have a better/upgraded pump.

    Mine works well though.

Funny, I got this in a trade, and it was so clean- it looked like barely even used at all.
I know they person I got it from never used it, and he bought it used.

When I went to install in, the wires going in the pump at the pump had the outer coating off, and two different colored wires were visable. I thought, uh-oh, this may trip my GFCI immediately!
I went with it anyways and fired it up.
Much to my pleasure- no problems, no tripping GFCI's, etc.!

I know some people don't like the OTC pump. Mine has been solid for about 2 years straight. If I it went kerplunk on me, then I would look at a different pump, but until then... I'm good!

    Thanks Mindy/OFK,

Things are generally going well on my little reef.
I haven't counted in a while, I think it's at least 70 different corals though.

Beautiful tank Todd. Love all the color and corals. You have more corals in your tank than I do, for now, maybe. Excellent video.
