I got the rock into the tank and situated how I want it (I think). I still want a couple more pieces to fill in a couple holes but overall I am satisfied. I seeded my dry base rock with some live rock but still need to seed my sand with some live sand, anyone in Billings? I placed and order for an Eshopps skimmer. I don't think I will install it right away but rather wait for the cycle to be over first. Looking at a date in October to start adding Fish etc.

I just received an Eshopps psk 100skimmer. I originally wanted to set it up for my 55 gallon that has been running for about 5 months but it way to large! Luckily, I found a home for it on my 100 gallon build...

any ideas for my next move?

Well, a piece of the empeller cracked on my Skimmer. The pump burned out =-(

Luckily, I ordered it from Drsfostersmith! They are sending me a new pump, no questions asked! I gladly pay an extra dollar for better service every time! Plus, no cost for shipping over $49

What are your parameters? Any ammonia source in the tank? (ie:dead shrimp piece)

OOOh, you're getting there! I wouldnt worry about seeding the sand any more. It will become live by the time when the cycle is over.

I was hoping to do it in order to add biodiversity. I may be over thinking it though! I have to start thinking about fish in the next couple of weeks!

Gonna get fish/corals from LFS? How is the fish store environment in Billings? There is only one in Bozeman, they have decent stuff, but very pricy. A tiny monti frag costs $99!
