I have read if you run LEDs by itself your corals looks nice in LEDs tank but they are brown/dull color when you place them in the T5 or 20k Metal Halide tank. This really mean the LED trick your eyes (enhance color).

To all LED users. Do you guy ever try putting T5 or MH back to see what the different is? I do not have chance to do an experiment since my LED fixture has not been arrived here yet. Please share your ideals or comments in here.

Sounds a bit silly. Sort of like random LED myths

It may have some merit, as corals will change color even from slight differences in lighting. I know that I can move corals from the tank at my LFS, and they'll look much better in my tank. Both are 6x39w T5, with the same types of bulbs, except two are different. I also have an single reflector, while they have individuals. The color difference in apparent when moving the coral, but then over a couple weeks the color of the coral will shift as well, occasionally to a totally different color.

my corals look like crap under my old PC lighting, so i kinda understand what your saying. They looked OK at first under the original PCs, but then i upgraded to LEDs and they seemed to pick up color out of nowhere. occasionally i turn on the PCs to see wha tit looks like, and they seem to be brown.

Have you noticed any different in color when you moved back to PC lighting. One of the reefer comments, the blues and greens look great coming from led to mh any other color like red, orange, purple there all brown.

I agree.. Take a piece of coral, put it under PC, T5, MH, & LED. The coloring that piece will have will differ from one lighting to an other.

I do not have problem when got frags from reefers Metal Halide tank and put under ATI T5 lighting. There are almost the same color, it's not brown/dull color.

I've honestly not noticed a difference. I have LED's over the growout tank, T5's over the DT and they share the same water. Corals are switched back and forth between the two tanks, and the LED's definitely have not turned the corals brown.

The fact is, that the corals under the LED's have grown better, and look better.

I hope not since I just placed an order a new LED for my tank.
