    Heck why all the E.R. stuff, just take the covers off your power heads hah. Thats is how mine split the first time. Of course...I didnt take off the power head covers on purpose...

    stress is a factor for them to split but a sharp knife is a gurasnteed way to get it done they don't bleed and no mess its just a bag of water

    I got rid of mine because it was stinging everything.. I miss it, but would never get another one...

    How about fragging an electric green carpet anemone, mine is about 12-20" in diameter depending on the time of day. Can that be split or fragged with success???

    Carpets can be cut but do not do as well as many others But its been done as with anything its always a risk ..

    I did it

    Well Tangster, I got the nerve up to frag my bta. getting him to let go of the rock he was connected too wasn't easy but eventually I was able to dislodge him and cut it per your directions. I put one of the "pieces" back in the tank and it promptly fell into the rocks out of sight. I figured that there was no way it would survive but this morning when my lights came on, there it was all filled up and my clowns happily reunited. thanks for your help.

    Some rbta dont split once they have matured I have a friend who has one that is 4 ft round literally in his 500 gallon tank it hosts 2 pairs of clowns they used to fight now they wife swap I think LOL but it split about 3 times and hasnt split in 5 or 6 yrs now.
