Anyone have any experience with this "freedom filter". I am starting a reef tank between 40-50 gal in the next few months and like the idea of no overflow risk since the tank will be on the second floor.

Any suggestions/ideas or comments are greatly appreciated.

If you don't think this is a good plan, please tell me what you think would work best. I am new in the hobby and i am just in the research and learn phase...

    Thanks,

Well im going to be buying about 60lbs of live rock (marshall), so there is already about $350... i want the tank to be successful so whatever is the best value i will buy. i dont really have a figure yet though... say...under $400?

I also would really like to avoid the risk of an overflow because its on the second floor and i dont feel like paying the extra homeowners insurance for "flood" damage...

    Thanks for your help...
