What would be considered too high Ph in a reef aquarium? With this wonderful weather I have the windows open all day & night causing a large rise in my Ph. All summer I would start at 8.01 and end around 8.34. In the last few days I start at 8.32 and finish at 8.56

At what point should I be concerned and how can I control this if needed?

Last 30 days Ph history, you can see it slowly creep up as the weather gets nicer.

I had mine run up this high a week or so ago for a couple days; had no problems. Some of it I chalked up as probe drift, as I haven't calibrated it for a couple months or more.

Short of adding something I wouldn't wish to, I don't know of anyway to push pH lower.

Agreed. I try to calibrate mine monthly...but as I am lazy, I generally don't.

I know it's not a calibration issue, I have seen this before directly after calibrating. I have a lot of cold outside air running past the tank and I dose a lot of ALK to keep everything stable.

Is there any point I should be concerned and shut the windows?

I suspect it'll be self limiting, but maybe closing the windows at some point makes sense?

Mine is consistently around 8.45 by the end of the day. I am still a newb, but I haven't seen any negative effects from this.
