Since I started my tank i only have had one chromi and then added a yellow tang about 4 months ago. Last week I added 2 more chromis since I want to have about 6 schooling fish (chromis). But then one died due to bad health so I added 2 more chromis, a total of 4 chromis and a one tang. But today my father surprised me and got a flame hawkfish. So should I be ok with the ammonia or should I do tempeporary water changes everyday? (A total of 4 small fish)

My tank is 90 gallons with a 55gallon sump, about 130-140 total water volume.

I know its not the correct thing to do but I could not control the situation.

You, or your fish, should probably just ride it out...In my opinion....feed sparingly and make sure your skimmer is adjusted properly...If you test above .25 on your ammonia...then do a water change and cut back on the food...generosity is often out of our control..

keep an eye on nitrites cause they are deadlier then ammonia. I wouldnt feed for a few days, then feed every 3 days for a couple of weeks.

I agree. Also to answer the too many fish question.
I would say you do not have to many fish and are in good shape.

Thanks everyone for their suggestions. So you dont think I added too many fish too fast or you dont think I have too many fish for the tank size? I know I could add more fish to the tank but was a little worried of adding too many at the same time.

    Thanks

For your tank size, the number of fishes are fine, do you have a good prtien skimmer ?

Ok you got a great skimmer. What are you waiting for ?? add more fishies :D :D but this doesn't mean you can skip water changes though :D I would do about 5-10% water changes every 2 weeks

Yeah but what i was scared about is that I added the four in about 1 1/2 weeks instead of waiting 2 weeks before adding fish after introducing one to the tank.

Definitely I plan on adding 2 True percula clowns, 2 more chromis, 1 powder blue tang and thats about it.
