I have a maxijet 400 and decided to buy the kit which turns it into a powerhead. I never expect this much flow though. I placed it in my 29 gallon. Anyway, a friend of mine said that I can blow out a seam in my tank. Is this true?

No it will not blow a seam.....unless you have it 1/32nd from a seam and I still do not thinkn it would
Your water would spill out first as it is not a sealed system IMO

IDK about blowing a seam, but i made the mistake of buying 2 of 1200 pros, they was like running johnson outboards on my 55,sadly i had to switch them back to regular type powerheads, lol.

I think this kit has turned the 400 model from 108 gph to 1600gph. Crazy.
Anyone know a way to slow it down?

Yeah, they listed the 1200's at 1300gph,but i'm pretty sure it's way more,i couldn't get controlled flow even using just one, splashed over, suck air and made a vortex,if i lowered it,sand storm everywhere. They're nice, but i WAY overkilled the size. The only thing that worked for me was to switch them back to stock.
