    hey guys just put a 2300ltre an hour power head in my 4 foot tank i think its 607 gallons per hour is that 2 much im not sure but it seems to bother the fish Picture 013.jpg

    General rule of thumb is 40x turnover so if your tank is the average of 55 gallon,
    Its around 2200gph, so i would say you need more, don't worry about the fish they love it...

    my tank is 400 litres which is over 90 gallons so that would mean that im well under

    Ok i think i may be lost or i maybe on track .... The power head you Purchased or installed is for flow correct..? And not your return pump for water back in your tank..?

    looks like the power pushed all your rocks to one side haha but you could get away with more water movement inside the tank

    flow is flow

    some will come from powerheads and some will come from your returns and filters or whatever. :)

    As long as your not blowing sand around then you are good on flow. I have 11,000gph in a 7" tank and still need more... :)
