I have alot of flow in my tank and some of my acans and zoas look shriveled. Do i have to much flow, its a 29 gallon tank and i have a flow rate of 1750 gallons per hour. That is a turnover of about 60 times per hour. With all the rock in my tank i bet i have more like 20 gallons of actual water?
Also if it is too much flow, should i alternate Koralias once in a while? Like run one every other day or something? Like alternate from left to right? Or does this stress out coral because its not consistent?
It would seem that if we all rearranged our powerheads once in a while that it would simulate an ever changing current?????
    Just curious?

That is considered too high for softies and LPS coral. Please list what your parameters are they could be an issues also. Make sure your circulation pumps' flows intersect or at least run parallel to each other. Try to make your flow turbulent.

yea, for Lps, that is a bit strong. that said, if they are not really blowing around the tissue you should be ok. 60x is really good turnover and would be perfect for SPS.

I use the wavemaker function on my Reefkeeper Lite controller ($95) to switch back and forth for random currents. That way only one Koralia Evolution is running at a time.

Does this mean that the power heads should be pointed at each other?

unless the powerheads are pointed directly at and are very close to the zoas, the zoas should be fine. I don't think flow is your problem.

well its only one of my acans that looks this way. I have three other colonies in the tank and only one of them looks shriveled. And some of my zoas are closed up and look shriveled and have something that looks like algae growing on the closed ones????
