Being disabled I have wayyy too much free time. I mean I try to keep busy, but after a while things get boring. It can be hard to get excited or inspired over things when they don't seem to really effect much. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I do stuff around the house, run, skate, surf, do push-ups, work on my fish-tanks. It helps when I'm have a few classes, but schools out and I can't really afford to take classes out side of my school benefits at community collages. I try to play with my nieces a bit (I live with them), but honestly I only have so much patience with them at 5 and 3, as well as not growing up around girls, so playing barbie gets a bit old for me lol. They where great at 2, so I don't know. I spent more time with them then than I do now.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Disabled people can volunteer at the local animal shelter, food shelter, boys and girls club.

Or pick something or topic you like or are passionate about, like the homeless.

You do not have to be physically involved, organizing events and charities can be done from a computer.

    Just a thought.

oh I'm sure my brother wishes I'd do a lot more around the house. I'm not going to deny that, but as a uncle it's only so satisfying before I'm back to feeling like it's just killing time, and dam kids will undo what you do so quick it's crazy.

ya I've been working on that, but it's surprising how many places have a wait list for you to volunteer around here. I think it's because a lot of people are volunteering to get the resumes up because of the economy. The hospital said it would be a 9 month wait to volunteer. I was thinking about trying to do some sort of big brother thing with surfing, but it's a wait too.

Try other time consuming hobbies,I like building and flying both electric and gas r/c airplanes and heli's(thats before reefing took all my cash :)),but I still like building model cars, ships and military vehicles.I do alot of fishing when i get the chance.I also like riding my quad, not so much of a daredevil anymore, but we have lots of recreation land around me,so theres always new trails to explore.Just a few suggestions.
