    So would my husband

I can't complain about pain in front of him or I'll get the raised eyebrow "look." It's a damn good thing he wasn't at the hospital with me when I was in labor (he had just had bone graft surgery about a week before) or I would have wanted to kill him

Again, sorry for hijacking your thread. Let me think on a few things that might keep your mind occupied. It may take a while seeing as I'm out of practice in the "not having anything to do" department :D

Surf and skate.. with Cali waves. That's all I'd need! I have to wait for a hurricane to come to get decent waves over here haha.

ya I'm trying not to get to spoiled and pick up the local Santa Cruz attitude that it's not worth paddling out if it's not head high and a good amount of waves to the set. I'm hoping to push it this summer so I'm in good enough shape to surf some bigger ones this winter. It's pretty amazing and scary around here when a 15ft+ swell rolls through.

Don't worry about hijacking. I'm interested in peoples medical conditions and how they deal with them. I think mine is a big part of my boredom issues, but I am always looking for new interesting things to do if you think of some.

I got married, bought a house, and got 2 puppies. Needless to say I have know free time. I'm sure your wife could give you more honey does if you asked. But on second thought you probably don't want to go down that road.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Gardening.

Pumpkins grow great there. If you do not have a yard, get a community patch.

Since you surf and are near the ocean, they usually need volunteers to sit on the bluffs and do the whale and marine mammal count, all you need is binoculars and a chair.

Those are two very good ideas that I have not looked into. I'll look into them. Thank you.

LOL k+ to the whale watching ;D carpentry is'nt a bad choice either, you could even do medeldetcting since you live near the beach,Fishing, or even Hunting.

just a few ideas I am certified CIT officer here in GA and deal with some mental and physical handicaped people and they normally try to stay out doors as much as possible.

I never thought about metal-detecting on the beaches. My dad would be into doing something like that. I think he might even have a detector already. I'll have to ask about that one.
I got it, I'm going to build myself a chair that I can sit in wen I'm tired of metal-detecting and need to sit down and do some whale watching :sunny:

Oh for a nicer note to the thread, I was the closest to a pod of dolphins:goldfish: I've ever been while surfing this evening. I was about 15ft from them before they stopped playing around on the surface. I paddled a little out of the pack to be a little closer to them:wave:, but I got a little to scared to go right up to them.:anxious:

Oh...that is too cool. People live their whole lives wanting to swim with the dolphins....I would have gone for it.

When I lived on the beach, I would walk up and down it looking for corals that got carried in with the tide. Why not walk the beach looking for free critters to put into your tank....maybe rock polishing...agates were all over and it is a stone that is used with silver jewelry...there may be some buyers in your area.

Oh no....I just read a post saying you should not put anything out of the ocean into your tank so forget that....but rock collecting would be fine...or maybe just walk the beach looking at washed up corals...kinda like bird watching...lol
