i recently upgraded my 10 gallon nano to a 29 gallon. have a 30 inch coralife 2 by 65 watt fixture no moonlights, have a 10,000k bulb and actinic bulb in it. i have a few zooanthid button polyp looking soft corals. possibly a few small sponges i recently found and a few mushrooms. would it be too much light or cause excessive algae growth if i left my actinic bulb on at night for moonlighting. or would i need to change my light cycle with hours of turning on each bulb differently. i saw someone saying they do that on the site somewhere but figured i should ask before doing something odd like that.

it would be too much light, 65 watts is alot of light. i tried this with a 9 watt t5 and that was way way to much. anything over a watt or so will be to bright and keep the fish up.
