too much light????

    is there a such thing as too much light for my corals. i wanted to put now 3 175w 20k MH on my 75gal that already have 4 54w t-5's on it. would my corals be better with more light or would i just be waisting my time. thanks

    Use the halides 20k, more than enough, scrap the t5 not really nededed both together.

    Yes you can have to much light for your corals.

    I would say that 3 175s + 4 54 watt t5's is more light than you need in a 75 gallon tank, but you need to list what corals you want to keep. Lots of sps corals and clams on the bottom you might be ok, but if you want anything other than high light sps in the tank, you will have to make some ledges to shadow them.
