too much lite for shrooms?

    is 2 250 watt mh w/2 96 watt pc atinic to much for shrooms ? picked up some ricordia shrooms and put them in the tank after acclimating w/mh off and they seemed ok but two days later they seem to not be open and appear to be stretching upward off the rock they are on i placed them on the bottom of the tank,i have another tank w2 96 watt pc would they be better in that tank?the tank they are in is pretty much all sps any ideas?

    How big/deep a tank. How close are they to the light source? Ricordias like more light than your average shroom, but they still might get scorched if they're too close to those lights. Move them to the very bottom of your aquascape and see how it works.

    75 gal ,the shrooms are all the way on the bottom and have been there since i put them in

    what kind of bulbs. Probably too much light as 250 watts depending on the bulb is too much for your sized tank.

    When I went to MH lighting, some of my mushrooms turned white(completely). I'm assuming zooxanthellae was expelled for new. I didn't scorch or lose any though.

    the bulbs are current 14000k w/2 96 watt pc atinic the shrooms still have their color so far above them are some rogue zoas that i have no idea where they came from and they grow like crazy i am always trying to get rid of them but they just keep coming back lighting must not bother them

    They will be ok! I have mushrooms in my tank with 250's halides as well and they are fine. You may want to start them off lower in the tank and slowly acclimate them if you plan on repositioning them higher up.

    My shrooms shrunk big time after ugrading from PCs to T5s. I moved thm into a dark corner uner an overhang and they're looking good now.
