    I just bought a 150w mh with 2 t5 14w actiniscs for my 20 gal long think this is overkill ?

    Only if you put it too close to the water.;D

    It depends on what you are keeping for corals.

    I've got a 250W mh w/ T5's over my 20 tall. No heat issues and it looks great.

    Was figureing I could stock it with sps and use it like a frag tank

    ya that will work fine, i use a 250w 20k over a 24g aquapod and keep zoas, acans and sps in there

    Just right. If you are doing a frag and looking for growth alone use a 6500K bulb.
