Not as long as you think....

    This picture is from 3/30/08

    And this one from 2/6/08

This last pic is one of the first after the move. You can see that it has only been a year, and I have a HUGE swirl!

Nope, 08. That is a lot of growth in just over a year, and of course there has been some moving around of the corals. Some I sold frags of, others I got rid of all together.

    Beautiful tank!

So from 2/6/08 to 3/30/08 the corals got that big? Or 2/6/08 to 3/30/09? You got some coral miracle grow going on if they progressed that much in less than 2 months ;D

Thanks ZachB. I think what is making it look like more growth in those 2 pictures is the aqua scaping. I added some live rock and actually placed the corals instead of just putting them where they would fit. I had moved in January, and the corals were living in a rubbermaid tub while the rest of the house was put together, and while I did the plumbing for the basement sump.

I have moved corals around quite a bit over the last year, but I have added very little in the way of rock.

Poseidon, that is the exact look I dreaming of, what bulb combos do you use and can I achieve that look with a TEK fixture(with the actinics)?

    THanks guys!

You can try 2 Aquablue + and 2 Pure Actinics both from Geismann. My bulbs are all overdriven on IceCap ballasts though so the color may be a little different.

The background is just a blue one, with coralline algae growing over it. ;)
