Topping Off

    I'm considering putting together a few gallon container of fresh RO for daily top offs. I'm thinking of using a small maxi pump and putting it on a timer filling into the sump. Sounds like an easy means of auto top offs rather than using the conventional float method.

    sounds good, let us know how well it works. My RO/DI unit just broke, so I have to get water from my lfs :(

    I disagree with the approach. A float is going to trigger filling based on water loss. A timer is arbitrary. You don't have the exact same amount of evaporation from day-to-day. A timer would cause your parameters to fluctuate while a float will not.

    I would not do this.
