i got a torch coral with one side not looking to good. i can see what looks like his skeletal structure. and all the tentacles on the one side are real small. the other side seems to be doing ok though. a month or so ago this guy was the best looking in the tank. im also keeping ricordea, mushrooms, zoanthids, frogspawn, gorgonian, small acan colony, lobophilia and a couple sps coral. everything seems to be doing well. im new to corals(saltwater in general) and need some help. i dose seachem fusion 2 part system calcium and alkalinity. ammonia is 0 and nitrates are always low. i got my dkh at 10 and salinity is at 1.022. ph is 8.2

Salinity is a little low, what is cal at? mag? nitrites? What is that coral next to it? It's possible they have a little conflict going on that is causing the torch to retract. Any changes in low? What kind of flow is it in? What kind of lights?

What sort of light do you have? It looks like it is getting too much light.

4x54 ts. and thats not the spot its usually in. its done well up till now where i usually have it. its usually on a ledge thats halfway up in the tank. 4 flow i got a koralia 750 and koralia 1040. the 750 is off and on though. i will get the salinity slowly up. its also not close to any other corals. everytime i test calcium its around 400. and i dont have a mag test.

+1 on the chemical warfare. That does look like a leather-type coral right next to it. If it is, those give off toxins that can affect other corals. Consider running some carbon if you don't already to hopefully mitigate any of that chemical warfare. Even if that isn't the cause, it won't hurt anything.
