How about a picture of your wife in action, like braking a board or some blocks.

Thanks everyone. I am SO proud of her. I think guys are supposed to brag about their wives. Mine is awesome. A true role model. There are a lot of stories in terms of pictures or physical feats, but seriously those don't paint the picture right. Yes, she was World Champion in 2002... yeah...State Champion many times... I don't know really how many times 10-20... yeah Nationally Ranked in the Top Ten something 12 consecutive years. All cool.. all hard work and valid accomplishments. But forms, sparring, boards, weapons and all that isn't what her Mastership is about. She received this award a while back... I think it was called the Voyager Award. The award was given by this Parent's Organization for Parent's of Children with Downs Syndrome. The purpose of the award is to acknowledge people that make a difference in the lives of kids with special needs. Here's the deal though... I had to go receive the award on her behalf because she had to go to Florida to help another child with Autism competing at National Championships.

If I were to show you a picture of my wife "in action", it would be of her helping a child grow in self esteem or self confidence. THAT is mastership in my mind.

I am going on again... sorry... still excited.

Thanks for what you do as well. Special kids need special people teaching them. You must be special; you should be proud. I tell ya though, we find with all kids that you always get more than you give when help build and encourage them.

That was good. I am a 4th Degree, so I am not defenseless... but seriously we never even spar each other beyond being playful... just not a good idea... BUT she can easily kick me in the head... without even trying... My son is a 3rd Degree. My daughter is a 2nd degree. Playing in our family is fairly hilarious... but no one ever gets hurt or does more than touch contact.

Instead of "Daddy... Gabe pulled my hair ... or hit me"... as I would picture in a "regular" family. We get "Daddy... Gabe threw a reverse 360 side kick at me...." Our wise parent answer.... "Why didn't you block?"

    All in good fun.
