Thanks Corailline, it means alot from someone with a tank as good looking as yours
As in what? Weight? Price? Volume?

They are the AI Sol Blue and cost $399 new plus the controller
Although I bought them off a local reefer for a bit less.

So far I am loving the AI, but I'm looking at adding some Ecoxotic stunner strips to supplement the colors. Any ideas color wise: Magenta or Violet or other? I'm looking at adding two.

Since its a deepwater tank I want to keep the light blued but still be able to bring out better colors in deepwater sticks like red dragons and suharsonois.

    More full spectrum I guess?

If you were gonna go with the stunners then I would add magenta and UV. Im gonna supplement my AI with a diy build with uv, red, and green...or something like that.

So I have a contact coming through with a very rare deepwater species, I think only 15 made it to the states last year. We shall see but stay tuned, I'll let you guys hazard a guess at wat it might be.

I purchased an Ecoxotic Stunner Strip in magenta to add a bit of pop to the tank, I'll keep you guys updated on how it looks when it arrives.

Theres also a swap this weekend so I'll hopefully score some deepwater SPS and such for the tank.

Well I ended up picking up the first few corals for the tank: a purple and green simplex, hawkins echinata and some other green with purple tip deepwater acro.

Also some exciting news, if it all goes to plan I should have a Genicanthus semifasciatus by the end of the week! I can barely contain my excitement!

    Unfortunately it didn't come through...twice.
I'm aiming to try and pair up my watanabeis if I can find a female in good health.
