Wasn't sure if I should post here or the coral forms. Anyone know what type this is, if one? Type of zoa? Looking to know because no one can seem to figure it out, and want to care for it as best possible.

It will be easier to identify when it is more open and bigger.
Is that a bristle worm behind it?

bristle star....are they the same? I have gazillions of bristle stars...at least I think it is a bristle star...don't think I have seen a worm yet.

I'll snap another pic in a few hours.

I have the same one(I think), mine has a brownish color to it. I started to target feed it when I got it and now its still a brownish color but the tenticles are a clear/greenish color. The tenticles only come out when the lights turn off. I believe its in the Sun Coral family. Luna

Looks like a Neozoanthus. Does it only open at night and stay semi closed up during the day?

    No!!!
Good, though when your Star gets bigger, small fish will not be safe from the Star consuming them!!
Palythoa mats are great, and will spread quickly...They are toxic and will release toxins into the water effecting Small polyped stony corals especially and if there are a large amount of soft corals/zoanthids without the use of efficient skimming, carbon and water changes.
Remember that they are also toxic to humans if touched!!!!! Remember to wash hands after handling them to remove the likelihood of getting toxin in eyes or mouth, which could pose future problems if not treated quickly.
This isn't to scare you just to inform ya!!!!
