I noticed a big turn around on the Bleeding Apple when I actually started to spot feed him. I usually don't spot feed my LPS and it all does fine but for some reason he started to diminish after a few months in the tank. I thought that I was going to lose him, he was all sucked inward and just had his mouth and hardly any tissue around him. I made an effort to get him to eat and after a few failed attempts at feeding he finally showed me some feeder tentacles. I started off by feeding him a couple of mysis every other night. Then his tissue started to inflate back up and start to cover the dead skeleton. Now he constantly wants to eat and I feed him twice a week now. Just weird because I have a warpaint scoly that i never did have to feed and did fine in the tank. I have opted to feed that warpaint the past couple of months and he is gigantic though now. :-/ Freaking coral, never know what they are up too.....

Thanks bud, thats probably my main issue, I have a pretty low nutrient tank.... well you know other than the algae. I appreciate it.

No problem, just start spot feeding away. I too have a very low nutrient system. I've been using the same LR for about 4 years in three different systems and it looks like it just got done curing, clean as can be. :-/ That is why I no longer run GFO and Carbon. Just letting my over sized skimmer and my fuge do the nutrient work now.
