Trade tanks Should I

    so local vendor will trade me a slightly used 125 gallon Tank only for my 55 gallon tank that has stand and hood (which i bought for 100) and 40 bucks? think its worth it or shop around more.. trying to get a 180..

    well what condition is the tank in? acrylic or glass?

    well if he is just givin you the 125 you will still have to buy a stand for it. is it drilled or anything?

    both tanks are glass and neither are drilled. both tanks are in great shape with no scratches or flaws

    as far as the stand im doing a inwall build in my new house so wont need a stand

    If the 125 is in good shape, and a drilled tank wasn't a priority--IMO that's a good deal.

    Relatively speaking, a 55 isn't worth a whole lot, while a 125 can be pricey. If you're in the market for a 125 and have discovered that you've outgrown your 55, why not go for it?

    well i havent even set up my 55 just have it in the garage, just figured if i can go bigger why not, plus gives me alot more options

    With a larger tank u will have alot more options but remember you still have to buy lights, rock, skimmer, etc and all of that will cost more now do to the larger tank.

    I would definitly trade if it were me.
    But at the same time, just like Newreef15 said, plan to spend alot more on lights, rocks, skimmer, etc..

    Personally, I would hold for a drilled tank.
