I agree with this advice, only thing I did differently on my first upgrade, and am doing again on my next one, is I used Arag-alive live sand. It is more expensive - but it is really clean (no dust and debris in the sand) and I think the extra bacteria helped me upgrade without even a minor change in parameters - it was basically like doing a big water change. It looks like others have had success without doing that, and I am sure it is just fine, but thats my 2 cents
