I currently bought a pulsing xenia (they are an inch long frags).. but their stemp is on a tile, now i dont want this ugly tile in my tank.. so i was wondering can i cut the bottom of the stemp and tie it up (with a rubber band) to my live rock?

I would just put it next to a rock you want it on and in a week or so, depending on your tank, it will spread to that rock. you could then trade the one on the tile to a fellow reefer.
watch where you put it as they do spread fast.

What type of Xenia is it? Is it the pink pompom or the elongata? If it's the elongata, I would think twice about putting it in your tank. It can grow like a weed. I used to pull about a gallon worth out of my old 180 every month. It really took over. It was very cool looking, but was a weed. Never again.
