I have about 30 lbs of life sand in a 30 gallon tank, it has some alage on it but not much and has been sitting for 3 months with some water and a power head moving the water around. Is it fine to transfer to a 55 gallon tank with live sand, corals, and fish?

If you could get the visible algae off before transfer that might not be a problem; but if it's been in a tank 3 months with no other life to sustain the beneficial bacteria on it, I don't know how "live" it would be anymore.
