I got rid of all the fish that can't handle full salinity as this tank was previously weakly brackish and took the tank to full marine.
Spot (a Green Spotted Puffer) is much happier now and I was able to get a snail that he can't eat and won't even go near since it's the size of a golf ball. ;D

He eyed it and steered clear of the monstrosity...hehehe.

Spot is now sharing the tank with 25 out of the 35 SW born young Mollies I have, the rest are in the fuge of the 46 bow front.

The tank was full marine as of 5-9-10.

I added a O. Clown today, and got some cute pics.

This tank is transitional in that it was brackish and is now to hold some of the species that will eventually end up in my new 113 gal tank that is in progress then this tank will be taken down. and possibly be the temporary sump for the 113g.

Looks like he's saying pleeeeeeeeeeeease get me outta here!

The clown looks like a perc to me.

    I know that.
The parc clowns have a more pronounced middle bar.

The occ is a little les pronounced.

There's also a whole set of o. clowns bred for various shapes and sizes of bar now, though.

    It’s not a 100% but it’s pretty accurate.
Misbars don’t usually have odd shaped stripes, but separated, or incomplete stripes,

It has 9 dorsal spines, and is a true perc unless the second attached pic isn't showing the other ones. Then again, the front of the dorsal fin looks like a occelaris, and the black bars are very thin, like occelaris.

You may end up being right, but for the wrong reasons; the shape of the bar isn't really a big factor.

Well, that's the way I’ve been told, and it’s worked every time for me. But there are always exceptions to every rule.

There is also a way to tell them apart, just by looking at the eyes.
The percs have an orange iris, and the occ have a black iris.

Thire is always the possibility it could be a hybrid.
My occ has thicker outlines than that.
