A friend of mine teaches biology and has a SW tank set up in her class room. They are on a pretty tight budget and most of the money for the tank has been spent. I am donating my Huma Trigger to her to help out on the money. (she was going to get one of the same anyways).

My question is, how is the best way to transport the fish. I dont have an air compressor and the bags and stuff the LFS use. I was curious if there would be any problem with me sticking him in a 5gal bucket (that i use for water changes) and filling it maybe 3/4 the way with water from the tank, and putting the top on it. Its about an hour drive. Do you think this would be ok?

Any suggestions would be helpful. i have never done this before.

    Thanks!

Buckets fine, or a bag (just blow in it) --

I have transported in tupperware before -- it all works. Just keep it dark to minimize the stress.

I usualy take 5 gal bucket to store and fill small part with my water to start acclamation process then when I get home less moving fish around. 5 gal is way to go just make sure it is food safe.
