If blue legs wont harm the clams then I dont think there should be worry.
Ive never owned a clam but I have blue leg, red leg and scarlett hermits. AOut of those 3 the blue legs are the most aggressvie but at best the most they do is harrass my ceriths.

    sea stars also

Guess it's not meant to be. Same book also warns about carnivorous sea stars. I have an orange/red (appears more orange than red) which may be a Linka (Linckia laevigata) or Henricia leviuscula (Pacific Blood Star) - I'm doing more research on which it is.

Depending on who you believe, it may or may not be a threat to clams.

    Anyone have any experience?

Further research indicates that I have a Henricia leviuscula - which is a filter feeder/sponge eater. It appears to be a great cleaner - which may explain the marked improvement in my aquarium since it's addition. Looks like it's not a threat to clams.
