One of the many Tangs or Butterflyfish would be a nice choice!

Purple or yellow tang. A purple tang will hold its own against those 2 as long as its a decent size. My purple tang is an SOB! I cant wait till he dies of old age. A starry blennie (salarias ramosus) may also hold its own. They get good size and can be aggressive.

Thanks for the fish help guys but here is another question along the same lines- I know triggers will eat crabs and shrimp but what about snails or possibly hermit crabs ( who live in shells)?

Your Niger trigger may leave the snails alone but I wouldnt count on the picasso too. Although years ago I had a picasso and a giant red hermit crab cohabitat for years. One thing you can try is to get a bunch of empty snail shells and place them in the tank so that the triggers get used to the shells being empty. After several weeks try introducing a snail or 2 at night with the lights off and see if the snails survive. If your lucky and they do survive, slowly introduce a few more snails. I did this with my 120g tank with my sharp nosed puffer. My tank is littered with empty snail shells but he seems to leave the live snails alone.

My Niger lives with snails and two different hermit crabs and he never messes with them, although I do tend to over feed so maybe he's just full. Seems there is no perfect answer for these kind of questions as the most aggressive fish reputation wise could be pussy cats and the least aggressive reputation wise could be holy terrors.
