Ill post my GPH flow later. It may be a little much but there are spots where it doesnt really reach to.

I believe that since there is not a whole lot of room compared to the ocean, that adequate flow should be provided for them, sort of like how we walk and run on treadmills.

I hope you have a large tank- triggers get huge. I also hope this isn't a reef tank; I learned the hard way- triggers have jaws of steel and can decimate stony coral with no effort at all.

As far as flow, they live in the ocean. I think they could handle whatever you have. I don't think they need it, but if anything else can survive your flow, the trigger will, also.

Theyre small and when they do outgrow I have a 150 running for them. I learned they had jaws of steel when I stuck my finger in there to see what would happen -.-"

flow is not necessarily as important for fish as it is for corals, it requires most likely average flow just like nearly every other fish we own. also depending on your trigger it may even be able to outgrow that 150, they get absolutely huge if they are healthy. i have a store near me and they have one giant display tank, its 300 gallons and all it houses is a clown trigger and an undulate trigger, and they still looked cramped in there they are a good 18 inches long each. dont ask me how they get them to get along though, mystery to me.

Im a adovcate of dont buy a fish for a tank youll eventually be getting if its already needing that much space, but if it outgrows that 150 it will have a nice 500 gallon tank when I build my new house within.a year :D
