Ask and you shall receive! Lots of them...

Note the son on the left playing video games, while his wife in the middle is working hard! =Jwin= on the right after being dragged out of bed...

Almost empty (that sandbed smelled BAD)!

    Endless tubs...Maya feeling attention deprived.

Me and =Jwin=, probably arguing over the aquascape.

    Filling up the new tank
    [IMG]

We actually had to fill it in reverse. We filled it from the sump and pumped it up from the return pump. This was a major glitch. I didn't have enough tubing to pump from the old return. =Jwin= came up with the idea to fill it from the sump. This took lots of monitoring to make sure the return pump didn't run dry, but it worked!

Working on the Red Planet. We ran out of Super Glue in no time.

As far as the livestock, the fish were captured and put in the QT, along with the pistol shrimp (2 of them) in a ziplock bag inside the QT. I did about a 30 minute acclimation into the new tank. The pistol shrimp were digging last night. The clown and the candy hogfish are out and doing fine. I saw the pygmy angel last night, but haven't seen it today yet. :( I haven't seen the YWM goby, but he may be underground...he usually shares a burrow with the two pistol shrimp. The cleaner shrimp and fire shrimp and doing fine. I have seen some snails and a few hermits...my CUC was really down, but I was waiting on the transfer to restock. I did see an emerald crab this morning...I kind of forgot about them (I had 2 or 3). I guess they were hidden during the move. The starfish seem to be doing fine.

But, a very strange thing happened. My sixline wrasse DIED in the QT. I was going to take him back to the LFS anyway because he was a bully, but I didn't want him to die! :( They all seemed fine in the QT for the most part, but when we got ready to move and acclimate the fish, he wasn't doing so well. I guess I shouldn't have been talking bad about him...

I'm most worried about my pygmy angel...

    Update...=Jwin= just found the goby!

That is too bad about the sixline - what the QT setup for some time?

That said, great scape! A lot of work, but it looks like it was worth it. 8)

The QT was actually a "water change" from the old system...so same water, same temperature. All my inverts came through fine (2 ornamental shrimp and 2 pistol shrimp). I would have been more worried about them not making it if something was off in the QT. All I can guess is stress from the transfer. We had to remove every single rock in the tank...and some of those rocks were BIG and down below the sand bed...before catching the fish. They would disappear in any hole they could find. By the time we removed the rock, the tank was a nasty mess with detritus flying everywhere. I'm sure that didn't help the situation either!

It's been an acclimating kind of day...received some new hermits, nassarius snails, turbos, an urchin, emerald crabs. Also, two new fish, to be revealed later! The 90 gallon tank sure looked empty with my 3 little fish!

My LED and fuge light are supposed to be delivered tomorrow! Can't wait!

=Jwin= picked up some macro algae last night, and I also ordered some pods. Things are moving right along.

I'm looking forward to a Saturday that will be MUCH CALMER than last Saturday...

I just picked up some more pods today too.. I'm obsessed with Red Mandarins and I must have one! Once I have a pod population I'm ordering one.
