I love Mandarins! I was considering one, but since I've gone wrasse crazy, I wouldn't have a chance of keeping one now.

Ummm I have a six line... He is tame with all my other fish though, will he end up eating it? I have a couple Firefish in there that he doesn't even bother.

Before I get blasted by onlookers for buying a six line. It was for a good cause. A member of our reefing society crashed his truck and was in Hosp. He needed money and is/was selling all his tanks. We as a group all went out there and bought stuff he's selling to help him out. The six line looked fine with all his fish, which are close in comparison to my stock list, so I bought him to help the cause!

I'm glad you have a tame six line...lucky you! The only issue would probably be them "fighting" over pods. If you keep the pod supply going, they might be okay together.

    Today's agenda:

Install Finnex heater with controller. Put in new grounding probe. Hopefully install LED in canopy, which is supposed to show up today. Work on ATO.

Big difference in this Saturday compared to last Saturday. Last Saturday was very stressful!

I'm behind on my updates...I had a long, awful work rotation that is finally over!

The tank is coming along beautifully. We added a few more fish and everybody is doing great. I did buy the Elite Aquatics acclimation box and was very pleased with the addition of my peppermint hogfish. I was a little worried about that choice since I have a yellow candy hogfish. The peppermint spent about 3 days in the acclimation box. We had a little elbow of PVC in there for him to hide and he did just fine. It gave all the other fish a chance to "visit" without attacking. I released him when I was sure he was eating well and not at risk for attack. The candy hog took a few swipes at him, but now they even swim along together! He likes to hang out with the red head solon wrasse, too. The funny thing was I tried to slide the acclimation box down at an angle and raise the lid so the peppermint could just swim out on his own. Well, the solon wrasse and the exquisite wrasse swam IN so I had 3 fish in the box! They finally all swam out. I guess if I ever need to capture somebody, I'll try the box!

Here he is in the box with the candy hogfish to the left and the exquisite wrasse underneath.

A few pictures of the refugium with the Reef Breeders Fuge-Lite and the Photon48 LED. The refugium has exploded with algae growth since we put the light in. I love the Photon48! It took a while to get the lights, but I'm very pleased! The coral color/growth has improved tremendously! I especially love the dawn to sundown light cycle. We're up to about 45% power at the peak cycle, which lasts just a few hours.

I was trying to get a picture with all six fish out...I think I got them all! The YWM goby is in the bottom with just his head sticking out.
