    And that would be the hardest part, getting quality pictures of hundreds (or even around 25 for starters) of different kinds of fish.

    Hmm... That "quality" part does make it tough.. lol. I'll look for open sources for pics tonight.. You never know. Maybe they are already available somewhere.

    Maybe if it moves forward run it past the mods & some of the sponsors? I mean like take live aquaria for example. In 90% of the people I talk to they are the standard. I'm not say write them a free LA app, but the power of a advertising banner can be useful. Then have a user review portion as well?

    Maybe, but the fact that I can't run Eclipse means the only way I can do this is Google's App Inventor, which can't be submitted to the marketplace, so I'm not sure about advertising. It may be possible though if someone properly does this in Java, but if no one does I'll at least attempt and post a QR code so everyone could try it.
