I had some cheato in my fuge, and I looked in there a couple days ago and saw it all broke up and turned into what looks like a dust.

What's the cause? Too much heat?

My apologies, was trying to get the thread written in a hurry.

I have a HOB fuge, there's a little powerhead that pushes the water into the fuge and it flows out. Everyone told me I need to have the flow really slow. Which I do.

I have PC lights that I resurrected from my first tank on it. It's running on a reverse cycle, from 10 pm to 6 am.

Average temp in the tank is 82.

I honestly haven't tested water params in a couple months (a different story in itself.) *unexcusable*

Any more deets you need, let me know.

A bit warm, could use more light and absolutely more flow. This stuff actually grows best when tumbling, but don't worry about that, just lots of light and flow.

I'm sick of people like you blurting out garbage you know nothing about. BTW. Thanks for the mangrove trees, they are doing great! And I hope the mod doesn't think this is a serious full on frontal assault on your person, as you be my bud.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....

Well here it is. IME if there's not enough nutrients it will die. If there is to much light to close it will burn and die. If there's no light it will live but not grow fast enough to do any good. It grows faster with a current that tumbles it, you can get the same effect by flipping it by hand daily so all sides get good light alternately. It and mangroves will remove P034 and N03 out of your system so well it won't have enough nutrients to survive. It does the best under 6500K imo.

    Eddies a friend..you're just being a jerk

Hmmmm. Well my flow is pretty low. The lights are a little close, but if I raise them, it'll leak out into the main tank. The bulbs aren't very old. They probably have 4 months of use on them, still very bright. Im gonna have to look for some more.

On the flipside, everything else in the fuge seems to be doing good. I saw like 8 bristle worms in there last I looked, one of them was huge. Crawls my blood.
