A power outtage in this situation would have been much more pleasing to me.

I have a Mag12 you can use until you get yours running if you want me to ship it??? I run my Q-tank with it when I set it up.

Thanks and karma otty. I have been on the phone with Danner Mfg. They are going to replace the impeller assembly free. Just have to wait for it to be shipped from NY.
I have had a pleasant experience with them so far. Except they trapped me at first into being guilty of the faulty part. They say that their motors need to be cleaned/serviced once every 3 weeks. The part that broke was the porcelain shaft in the impeller assembly.

I know for my mag 9.5, I would only clean it about every 6 months, at about 14 months the impeller no longer freely moved on the magnet, though all moved well on the rod... I replaced the impeller at that time...

Nope! I think it's a bit excessive. Still no sign of the leopord wrasse.

As of right now, I am taking advantage of the fact that I had to unplug everything. Got the powerheads at the carwash. Going to leave all the nec. plugs cobbled til' I get the parts for the pump. Still no leopord. I'm pretty optimistic that it is burrowed in the sand somewhere.
