I'm new to the hobby-I got a clown yesterday it's about 2" then today I decided to try and get another so I got a smaller one 1 1/2" did some more research and OOPS! The one I got yesterday was a false clown and the one I got today was a true clown, they almost look similar but I can now see some difference anyways they seem to be doing good.I wanted to know do you think it's possible that they will do well or do you think they will not do well, anyone share your experiences or thoughts on this please.

A male or female true perc can\will pair with false percs. I'm not to much of an expert though...

It is possible for any Amphiprion percula to pair up with any A. ocellaris, provided they aren't both mature females. Several species of clownfish can cross-breed.

i have am ocellaris and a misbar perc and they are buddies, i did the same hting as you, got the bigger OC and then a few days later decided i needed another and got the misbar...never had a problem with them other then the normal bullying for dominance. you should be fine...now if you got a clarkii and then added a maroon THEN you may have some serious problems hahaha

Yes I hAve heard the maroons are on the top of the list for aggressive clowns, such a shame too because they look so good especially the matron and gold stripes, but I'm glad the mix I got should do fine,it's funny but as I watch it's the smaller one acting dominant which is the true clown and the larger the false is acting submissive I would have thought it would have been the opposite.
