I bout another true perc from my LFS and they were doing the twitching clownfish fight for awhile now the bigger one just forces the small one to stay in the back. behind rocks. She checks to make sure he doesnt leave. he comes out at night. I predict this will get better? I mean he will come out eventually right. he is still new. Just wanted to know what u guys no about this behavior! thanks

The fish might come out, might not. Clownfish can sometimes be nasty to each other.

two perc's in the tank that are both male will fight for dominance, the winner will turn female. Two females will kill each other. Keep an eye on it, you should be ok. most of the time it's the first scenario. +1 for clownfish, they are always win.

the bigger one is forcing her dominence on the smaller one..which is a male or will turn male. They do this and should end in a while. She will basically beat him up and is best to not watch. My picasso pair the female bit the male mouth, fins etc. He was bannished to the other side of the tank...however he would come creeping back and after a while they were fine.

It'll get better. If your that worried target feed him with a turkey baster. Just pour some food in like normal, and while she's going for that, squirt some down to the male with the baster.
Just hang in there dude. A lot of people panic when this happens, but it's completely normal. If you make it through this, the reward is awesome: there's nothing quite like the personality paired up clowns bring to the tank.

thanks guys. I just feel so sorry for the little fella. He stays in the back under rocks, and the big one makes sure he doesnt come out. The new one is the old ones *****.
Here he is behind the rock

looks to me that the big one is a true perc and the other is a false or ocellaris

Yeah, thats what I thought too. Your the first person to say something though. Will those black lines get thicker? Or did the LFS sell me a false as a true perc? There were a couple in the tank, and they were all supposedly true percs. I thought maybe it was just young.

+1. Maybe that might be why? Lemme dig around.
It's hard to say for certain. but the new one did look like a false perc. I was thinking that yesterday when I saw the pics of it in the bag when you were acclimating.
