No, I don't think so. When I was trying to capture my clowns, they never tried to jump. Now.....the dottyback......they can launch. Blennys too. Some fish will hang at the top because it is a "safe zone", especially during the acclimation period (a week or so). Wouldn't worry about it.

agree with pharmrjohn, mine clown tends to stay at the surface sometimes, he likes to play in the current and that is where the strongest current is. Ive never heard of any clown trying to jump

clowns aren't jumpers. i won't say it can't jump out of the tank, but clowns are slow moving fish that rely on anemones in the the wild to live. for it to jump out the tank would be like your grandmother climbing a tree.

they should get along the clown may pick on the major, but in my expierence majors will hold there own against bigger damsels.

never seen mine try to jump. he actually sleeps right at the water level near my HOB skimmer... i think he's hosting it haha during the day he swims at all levels so i wouldn't worry about anything.

I have a variety of Clowns in my tanks and neither has a cover! No problems with them jumping out...
Sargent Majors and the Clown will coexist fine, especially since being added as juvenilles. The Sargent Major will soon dwarf your Clown however, as my Sargent Majors have attained 4 inches in length, but they bother no one unless I add a smaller fish to the tank, but I am done with adding any more fish!
