Ok Gang this should be fun! How long has your reef tank been setup? What is the oldest inhabitant? Is it coral invert or fish? What modifications have you done to make it successful now? What was the worst modification? I will start with this theoldest tank I had was four years old but I am starting over due to layoffs and moving in with mother in law for a couple of months. I had xenia that would not stop growing and a clam that were the first two inhabitants to the tank. I had a yellow tang that i used after the lr cycle. The tank is still alive and well but with someone else. It had survived 3 moves with no loss of life. The best mod was the halide lighting I built. The worst mod was the homemade airstone driven skimmer. It worked but replaceing airstones once a week was more expensive then buying my berlin turbo. ( sometimes being cheap is quite expensive LOL)I have a 45 gal fresh tank that the Angels and pleco are 9 years old and happy.

my tank has been set up about 2 years. my oldest inhabitant might be my chromis or firefish ive had them 3 years. i had a 39 gall fo set up before the 75 and they were moved to the 75. i improved it with the originol tank i had ugf, cc, no lr now i have no ugf, i went with ls and about 110 lbs of lr. that was the best improvment, its only gotten better and not worse.

the extent of my fw is my betta its all i have anymore of the fw guys

Started my 80 gallon reef in May 2002. Oldest thing in my tank is the Live Sand and Caribbean Live Rock, lots of hitchikers. Oldest fish, 2 Green Chromis. Oldest coral, Green Star Polyps. Best addition, my sump/Refugium I will add thgis week and the upgrade from 5,500k to 10,000k MH lamps. Lots of coraline growth and no real mess-ups to-date.

My 80 gallon is 1.5 years old. Live sand is the oldest thing in the tank and 3 three stripe damsels that I can't catch are the oldest fish. Oldest coral is the green mushrooms.
Best thing added was a skimmer even though mine is not the best it works.
and my VHO lights as with out them everything would have died by now.
