Great timing. I am looking to do some LEDs here soon. I have a 55 gallon tank. Corals are all softies and lps. I have a four bulb t5 nova extreme currently. I want to add an led strip. One for the shimmer effect and another for the bright colors they produce. I want to add a strip to the front and back of my current fixture. Like a 12000k diamond white on the back and deep water blue in the front.

    What would be recommended?

How many strips/what colors would you suggest for a 75 gallon or 90 gallon tall. As the main source of lighting to grow almost all types of corals?

Look like nice lights, and I know Aquacave is a 3reef sponsor, but just a warning, had a very bad experience with Aquacave and their customer service is terrible.......but the lights look great and I love 3reef :)

Are you sure it was aquacave?

I have had nothing but the best from aquacave compared to other online retailers.

These strips should be used for supplemental lighting and making colors stand out. IMHO i wouldn't use this for your main source. If you want an LED fixture this wouldn't be what your looking for. You can take a look at some DIY threads and some of the sponsors here sell full blown fixtures and high output led bulbs, i'd look into that instead.

That's what I wanted it for. Not my main source of light. I will run these strips with my t5's.
The idea is to make cool colors and to create a shimmer effect.

Oh it was, I don't want to rehash it but this is what I posted in December,

"I just wanted to warn everyone of the horrendous business practices of AquaCave online website. This was my experience, I purchased a RIO Pump for $23.95 plus $4.95 shipping. The pump was terrible so I paid to ship it back for a refund. Their website claims a money back guarantee if not satisfied, so my refund should have been $23.95 because they only refund the purchase price and not shipping (which I understand). But they only refunded me $22.25, when I questioned it, they claimed the shipping costs were really more and now that I was returning it I had pay the full shipping costs so my refund was less than the purchase price. I cannot even understand the logic behind this considering the copy of my invoice below clearly shows the costs"
