while i was just siphoning out water a few mintues ago, i actually sucked off a polyp on my colony of trumpet corals....

if i leave it loose in the tank will it create its on skeleton or is it doomed?

How did you manage to siphon off a caulastrea polyp? Thats what we are talking about, correct? It might create a new skeleton, as long as it is undisturbed.... It is worth a shot, maybe glue it to a rock or reef plug.

    Good luck

a candy cane, i believe they are all the same thing....its actually a little weird...i was siphoning...and ive noticed this a while ago....a had about 8 heads...the one i took off by accident actually had a free floating one attached to it, so i actually siphoned off two...

i did end up putting them onto a frag plug and them opened up just as wide as the one was it when attached to the skeleton...

either way, ill make and update when something looks definite...
