I happened upon a deal on Craigslist about a month ago for a jellyfish aquarium for $80. Having seen the exact same tank selling on jellyfishart.com as well as others for close to $300. So after picking up the tank I went about finding where best to buy some jellyfish and inparticular which type to get as I havent ever kept them. I ended up getting them from a great site thinkjellyfish.webs.com and decided on 3 moon jellyfish. They arrived Fedex this afternoon each in a separate small plastic container with lid. After a lengthy and careful acclimation I introduced them to the tank by carefully lowering the container into the tank and letting the jellyfish swim out. At first they kept nose diving straight to the bottom of the tank and sat pulsing upside down against the substrate. Initially I was fairly concerned that they must be having an issue however several hours later now they are swimming around the tank all three of them. Extremely beautiful creatures and the leds on the tank make them even more stunning to watch. Ill be updating with a video as soon as my phone charges more.

Has anyone else on here successfully kept jellyfish? I have to say the guy over at thinkjellyfish has been awesome. If I have any questions I email him and I typically have a response within the hour.

Anyone else interested in trying jellyfish? Im going to place another order and if a few people wanted in Im sure he would do an even better deal. There are a few different inexpensive tank options.

YES, I am interested, what size tank is that? Looks alot like the little led sert ups you can get from walmart. Also, what is the care needed, and how much were those jellyfish shipped?

Really the biggest deal is apparently how air/flow is handled. Also to not have any edges or corners. They seem to have a thing about corners and will eventually damage themselves. All that said Ive read that the type of tank recommended is a kreisal or a cylinder such as mine. I got mine off craigslist for next to nothing compared to pricing online however since Ive found several options that should work... the upside down jellies just stay on the substrate which is why a normal tank works fine for them.

Today I picked up a 2G cylinder from petco (current jellyfish are tiny and hard to see in 9G)

The biOrb tank I have read is a good option.

Pretty much any tank where the flow is coming out top center. Apparently air bubbles are bad.

As for care its pretty much feed and change water. They sell already prepared food or you can feed baby brine shrimp.

Im considering getting two comb jellies as well.
