Trying to Avoid Cuke Nuke " sea cucumber"

Hello all.

Ok here is what happened , it's kind of long story but i will try to make it short.

i have 130G predator tank , 4 tangs purple yellow sailfin and blue , they all fine together for some reason, 1 lion fish Radiata , i placed a PVC pipe as square shape with 4 holes , i made one of them up to the meddle of the tank as i placed a power head to keep the pipe clean. as i was planing to host a blue ribbon eel.

i had one black sea cucumber for cleaning the sandbed , before yesterday i was so happy my Eel has arrived after 2 months of waiting , i got him and i got another cucumber just to be sure my sandbed will be cleaner , i added them everything looked great BUT !!

yesterday i was checking the tank , i found that new cucumber trying to stick inside one of the holes !! i thought he will go back but with time i decided to jump for help it was toooooo late , it was no way i could change his mind about getting inside , and i guess while am trying to remove him he got injuired or he shot what i read about it later is CUKE NUKE !! my tangs and corals start react very fast , and the reactions was :-

1- my tourch hummar got swallowed fast instead of being like long web.
2- all mashroms are getting small
3- brain coral dose not look happy
4- TANGS !!! daaaaim , they all breathing heavily and very fast , the purple tang get faded (color)
5- Lion Fish , he was like WTH ??! i don't feel anything loool

Now , the problem that the cucember went all inside the PVC and i can't locate him , the Eel is there as well and i can't see him , i took the power head out so am giving a chance for any of them to get out .

i know i don't have lots of options , but do you think the cucumber will find his way out again ?? what if he dies inside which i don't wanna even think about it !! is there anything i should do other than waiting and hope for the best ??

take in mind , taking any part of PVC out means moving corals , live rock and a deep sandbed which i know , no one would love to do so !!!

note :- i have almost 40G of new water ready for changing.

please help.

 

Try enticing it out with a favorite food maybe. Good luck as its a bad place to be in for everyone.

 

You have to decide if you are going to let the cucumbers go where they will or if you should get rid if them.

With the exception of crawling towards power heads, you need to feel comfortable with a cucumber crawling into the rock work, that is what they do and it's fruitless to move them or try to prevent this.

What the cucumber did was expel it's internal organs, they do this as a means of defense.

Personally I have never had an issue with cucumbers, but it's a gamble and sometimes you have to decide if you are willing to take that risk or if there is another way to meet the same end, a clean sand bed.

Have plenty of freshly made up SW on hand and some new carbon.

found the stupid cucumber out of the PVC (thank god )
Found Yellow tang Dead
the purple tang is recovered and it look so normal
i made almost 30% of water change , the eel is just fine as well.
corals looks almost ok . i can tell after couple of hours with lights on.


lesson learned :- DON'T POCK THE CUCUMBER OR STRESS HIM OUT.

 

it was really a nightmare. damn i couldn't sleep thinking about it .

guys just don't don't mess with a cucumber. i see myself VERY VERY lucky depends on losing just a yellow tang , btw he could be dead cause of sting he got 3 weeks ago from Leo the lion just above his mouth . but he looked fine for me yesterday. anyway sorry yellow .
