Tunz skimmer with T5HO fixture

    I have a mini Tunze protein skimmer and a T5HO fixture, the problem is i can't fit my tunze under the light fixture and if it do manage to squeez it in there, the heat from the fixture drys up all the bubbles just like that. Can someone give me some ideas or modifications i can do ? if so that be great, oh and i have a 55 gal fish tank.

    1 idea springs to mind - as you only have fish, the light is not critical - only for veiwing really.

    what about suspeding the light fitting from either the ceiling or from a couple of brackets fitted to the wall behind the tank

    that way you could create the clearance you need to locate the skimmer
