I was thinking of getting this tunze powerhead for my 40 gal breeder. It's rated at 660 gph, anyone know if this would be a good pump to hook up to my apex controller so I can have it pulsing to create a wave effect. Thanks peps

The 6025 is not controllable. The 6055 is the controllable version.

Not really looking to control it, wondering if it is powerful enough to create a wave in my tank, my apex will control the pulsing( power on, power off)

You typically need a controllable pump to make a wave. Not certain about the tunze, but most pumps can't handle being turned on and off like that. the hydor evolutions and maxi jets can handle being turned on and off, but still not probably not fast enough to produce a standing wave. will work fine if you just want random flow however.
