Tunze 6045 on 3/4" Acrylic. Will it work?

    Does anyone have this power-head? I ordered 2 after seeing it only works for 5/8" glass. Do you think it will work? Or can I possibly use a stronger magnet?:confused:

    I have used it on my aga 180, is that 3/4 or 1/2 thick....honestly I don't know anymore, probably 1/2. But it works great and I suspect you will have the same result. It's much cheaper than the Mp40's I currently run. good purchase !

    Can you pull the magnet away from the tank about 1/4"? And it stays?

    I can't recall if it comes with spacers or not like my MP40's.

    I think I read your post wrong - you bought one that does up to 5/8 and you have 3/4 .... I am sorry. return that, even if it stays at first it probably will fall off or even move and start to vibrate.

    But they don't make one that goes to 3/4"...
    Couldn't I be able to use a stronger magnet from somewhere else???:confused:

    No, probably not. Look into the (more expensive) vortechs....MP40's. sorry.
